Day 1: Arrival in Marrakech

Your Moroccan adventure begins the moment you land, as our friendly team greets you at Marrakech Menara Airport. We’ll transfer you to your authentic riad nestled within the historic medina walls. After settling in, you’ll have time to refresh before stepping out to explore the legendary Jemaa el-Fnaa square. As evening falls, the square transforms into a mesmerizing open-air theater of storytellers, musicians, and food stalls. We recommend trying freshly squeezed orange juice or sampling traditional Moroccan delicacies from the food stands while soaking in the vibrant atmosphere.

Day 2: Marrakech to Dades Valley via Ait Ben Haddou

After breakfast, we depart Marrakech and begin our ascent through the dramatic High Atlas Mountains. The winding Tizi n’Tichka pass offers breathtaking panoramic views at every turn, with opportunities to stop and photograph traditional Berber villages clinging to mountainsides. Our first major stop is the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Ben Haddou, where you’ll explore the ancient ksar that has starred in countless films. Continuing our journey, we’ll visit the film studios in Ouarzazate before traveling through the lush Rose Valley, arriving in Dades Valley as the setting sun paints the unusual rock formations in golden hues.

Day 3: Dades Valley to Merzouga Desert

Today’s adventure begins with a visit to the spectacular Todra Gorge, where 300-meter-high cliffs tower above a crystal-clear river. You’ll have time to walk through this natural wonder before we continue south toward the Sahara. As we approach Merzouga, the landscape transforms dramatically, with golden dunes rising suddenly from the flat desert plain. In the late afternoon, you’ll mount your camel for a magical trek into the heart of Erg Chebbi as the sun sets, painting the dunes in brilliant shades of orange and red. Your luxury desert camp awaits, where you’ll enjoy traditional Moroccan hospitality under a canopy of stars.

Day 4: Merzouga to Ouarzazate

Wake early to witness one of nature’s most spectacular shows – sunrise over the Sahara. After breakfast at the camp, we’ll journey to the historic town of Rissani, home to a vibrant traditional market where locals trade everything from spices to livestock. The route then takes us through the stunning Draa Valley, a lush ribbon of palm groves stretching along the ancient caravan route. We’ll make several stops to appreciate the dramatic contrast between the verdant valley and surrounding desert before arriving in Ouarzazate for the night.

Day 5: Ouarzazate to Marrakech

Our return journey to Marrakech includes a visit to the fascinating Kasbah Telouet, a once-opulent palace that served as the stronghold of the powerful Glaoui family. As we cross back over the High Atlas Mountains, you’ll have one last opportunity to admire the breathtaking mountain scenery. Arriving in Marrakech by mid-afternoon, you’ll have free time to explore more of the city’s hidden gems or simply relax at your riad.

Day 6: Departure from Marrakech

On your final day, we’ll transfer you to the airport for your departure flight. For those with later flights, we can arrange additional guided tours of Marrakech’s palaces and gardens, or help you extend your stay to discover more of Morocco’s wonders.
